My Playlist & I

About me. I'm a freshman at UW-Stevens Point studying dietetics. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin near Madison. In highschool, I played sports and was in Art Club, DRIVEN (a leadership club), W-Club, and Student Council. I enjoy anything outdoors, photography, and being active.

My playlist. For my playlist I chose the following songs: “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga, “Scars to Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara, “Photograph” by Ed Sheeran, “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, and “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.

Why? These songs are important to me because I can relate to their lyrics, they remind me of special memories, and they remind me of special people. I first heard these songs on the radio or on Spotify. My playlist says a lot about who I am as a person. The majority of these songs are mellow and relaxed, which are two words I would describe myself as. Also, a couple of these songs are about love and I am a friendly, warm, and loving individual. My choices completely reflect my sense of myself. Every choice I make reflects who I am as a person and that is why I think I can relate so well to the music I listen to. If others listened to my playlist, they would learn that I like soft music that has a positive message. A little piece of my personality is all they would be able to learn from listening to my playlist. Based on the music in my playlist, people could assume that I am a shy and easy-going person.

  1. I really liked that when you wrote that you liked doing activities outdoors, I totally associate "I'm yours" with the outdoors. So I enjoyed how your descriptions of being easy going absolutely reflect the moods in the songs. I'm really into art myself (I enjoy drawing and writing) and I was curious, what types of art did you do in Art Club?
